I was recently interviewed by the CBC relating to the ongoing sleep troubles we had with my daughter. My mental health was deeply affected by the prolonged lack of sleep, despite having little to no struggles with my mental health outside of this time. I urge you to seek help if you are feeling desperate for sleep. Here is the article:

Great article. I wish we had a sleep trainer available in our area when we had our babies. Looks like they definitely help! There’s nothing worse than being sleep deprived and try to function as if you are not!
It really does affect every area of your life, doesn’t it? Work, family, your perspective on things. We are lucky that sleep trainers exist; now we just need parents to accept them more readily as a tool they can use without feeling like a “failure.”
I just read this article on CBC last night and it struck such a chord with me. My oldest is 10 and slept through the night from the time he was 5 weeks. My youngest is 18 months and still hasn’t slept through the night and the sleep deprivation is wearing on me! Would you mind sharing who you used as your sleep consultant? After reading this article I asked my husband for a sleep consultant for Valentine’s Day – nothing says romance like a sleep consultant for your baby!
